Perry Resident Lookup Sources
Each official system confirms a different part of identity. The Houston County property search connects an owner to a parcel, situs address, and owner mailing address, but it does not identify every person in a home. Court records show named parties and dated cases. Vital and probate records can establish family links. Voter and license tools answer narrower questions under their own access rules.
| Record | What it can confirm | Keeper | Access route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Property roll | Owner, situs, mailing address, parcel | Houston Tax Assessors | Free qPublic search and map |
| Court index | Party role, case type, dates, docket | Houston court clerks | Benchmark, re:SearchGA, counter |
| Voter record | A voter's own status, precinct, districts | Houston Elections | Authenticated MVP; lawful paid list |
| Vital record | Birth, death, marriage, or divorce event | DPH, Probate, Superior Clerk | Mail, online, or counter; eligibility varies |
| Probate | Decedent, estate, fiduciary, family links | Houston Probate Court | 2016-present index; office and FamilySearch |
| Business or license | Entity role or credential status | Georgia Secretary of State | Free official index |
Choose the record that answers the question. For a property owner, begin with qPublic. For a named party in a local case, select the court with jurisdiction. For a family relationship, identify the event and its correct keeper. A resident lookup is far more sound when the second source is independent of the first.
Confirming Perry Court Names
The Houston County Benchmark search covers the county court divisions exposed by the local portal. Search a last name, add a first name, and use a filing range when a surname is common. A case number is the strongest key. The portal is an index, while the clerk remains the keeper of the complete file and certified copies.
| Search field | Best use |
|---|---|
| Court or division | Separate Superior and State civil or criminal records |
| Last and first name | Test full names and known spelling variants |
| Case number | Return one exact case |
| Date range | Limit results to the relevant period |
A typical result can show the case number, division, file date, case type and status, party names and roles, attorney, judge, hearings, docket events, and a disposition when entered. It may not include pleadings, evidence, sealed items, juvenile material, or other protected documents. The re:SearchGA portal offers a separate statewide route, but access still varies by court, role, and document security.
The local search changed with Houston Superior and State courts' move to Benchmark in November 2025. PeachCourt access ended later that month. The screenshot below comes from the official Houston court search and shows the current starting point.
Open the Houston County Benchmark court search.

Use the division and exact party details before treating any result as a match. Perry Municipal Court has a separate tool for the next court date by exact name, case number, or citation number, not a broad case search.
Statewide Perry Record Checks
Some official searches extend beyond Houston County. This helps when a Perry name appears in a state case or correctional record, but each result still needs an exact identity match and the record keeper's confirmation.
Open the official re:SearchGA case-search entry.

The statewide screen is a second route to participating courts, not a substitute for the clerk's certified file.
Use Georgia Department of Corrections Find an Offender.

GDC says web results should be verified in writing. A name hit can show custody and sentence data, but protected institutional, medical, victim, juvenile, and family information remains unavailable.
Review the official Georgia Sex Offender Registry entry and use notices.

The registry offers official name and geographic modes. Follow its statutory warnings, verify a possible match, and never contact a person based only on a search result.
Verify One Perry Resident
Same-name errors are common. A full name can belong to more than one person, and initials may be entered in different ways. Work from a dated address or stable record number, then compare sources without assuming that an owner, registered agent, or court party still lives at the listed address.
- Search qPublic by owner name and record the parcel number, situs address, owner mailing address, and assessment date.
- Search Benchmark for the same full name and spelling variants. Narrow by division and time period.
- Compare public filing details, dates, party roles, and any address with the parcel result. Do not match on name alone.
- Use a vital, probate, voter, business, or license record only when it fits the question. Keep its date and address type clear.
- Request the source file or certified copy from its custodian when the result must be authoritative.
- Docket
- A dated list of events and filings in a court case, not the whole case file.
- Index versus image
- An index points to a record. An image reproduces the filed document and may have separate access rules or fees.
- Certified copy
- A copy authenticated by the records custodian for uses that require official proof.
- Situs address
- The physical property location, which can differ from an owner's mailing address.
When an address search becomes the main task, the Perry Street Directory follows property and recorded documents by street rather than by one person.
Perry Voter Records Differ
Georgia My Voter Page is an authenticated self-lookup. It asks for first initial, last name, county, and date of birth, then shows the voter's registration information, precinct, districts, polling details, sample ballot, and participation status. For most Perry residents, select Houston County, but verify an edge address because Perry's municipal line reaches into Peach County.
My Voter Page cannot browse a street or check another person from a surname alone. Georgia elector lists are available under O.C.G.A. ยง21-2-225 through a paid order process. The file can include residence address and ZIP, districts, status, registration date, and participation dates, but it withholds full birth dates, driver-license numbers, email, and protected VoteSafe addresses. Commercial use of the list is prohibited. An inactive status is not proof that a resident moved.
For corrections and portal mismatches, Houston Board of Elections is at 2030 Kings Chapel Road, Suite 152, Perry, and can be reached at 478-987-1973. The registrar, not a third-party copy, controls the voter record.
Perry Vital Record Keepers
Birth, death, marriage, and divorce records do not share one counter. Georgia DPH keeps births and deaths from January 1919 forward and marriage records from 1952 through 1996. Houston Probate Court handles marriage licenses and copies for events it issued outside that state-held span. Houston Superior Court keeps divorce case files, while DPH provides divorce verification.
The Georgia vital-record request routes include mail, online, and in-person service. A request form asks for the name on the record, event date and place, related names, applicant contact information, relationship or authority, copies, signature, photo identification, and payment. Birth certificates and certified death copies have eligibility limits. Current guidance allows a member of the public to request a plain-paper death copy with the Social Security number redacted.
Georgia sources do not establish a simple rule that every certificate becomes public after a set number of years. O.C.G.A. Title 31, Chapter 10 and state regulations control disclosure. Historical indexes may be open even when a certified certificate is restricted. The Houston County marriage collection on FamilySearch spans 1832-2015, which can supply a broad lead while Probate remains the original keeper.
Perry Heirs and Adoptees
Probate records offer a lawful family-history route. Houston Probate Court's estate search covers 2016 forward; older files can be requested at the office or found through the Georgia probate collection on FamilySearch. Begin with a decedent, find the estate case or petition, then inspect public fiduciary, heir, notice, deed, and distribution records. These dated documents can link relatives without turning a loose name match into a claim.
Georgia also created a direct official route for some adoptees. Since July 1, 2025, Andee's Law allows an eligible adult Georgia-born adoptee to request an uncertified original pre-adoption birth certificate. This is a controlled DPH process. The Putative Father Registry is not public and remains limited to authorized entities. For classmates, the Judith A. Golden Local History Room and Perry Area Historical Society Museum hold yearbooks and local files that may be more useful than a modern resident lookup.
Perry Business Identity Checks
The Georgia Corporations Division search can confirm a person listed as a registered agent or officer. Search by business name, control number, registered agent, officer, or designated agent. Results may include entity status, formation dates, principal office, agents and officers, annual registrations, and filing history. An office or agent address is a legal or business contact, not proof of residence.
The professional-license verification search accepts profession, name, license type, and license number. Its result can show license status, issue and renewal dates, and public board orders. Use a wildcard only as the official form instructs, then pin the result to its license number. No authoritative public Perry-wide occupational-license registry was found; a defined register may be requested from the City Clerk or Business License office.
Perry Lookup Privacy Limits
A lawful Perry resident lookup must stop at protected data. Vital and adoption files, full birth dates, motor-vehicle data, sealed or restricted cases, juvenile records, and confidential addresses are not opened by asking more broadly. VoteSafe protects the residence address of eligible registered voters under qualifying protective orders or in family-violence shelters. Houston County also publishes a nondisclosure request for qualifying property records.
Georgia enacted a wider Address Confidentiality Program with a statutory July 2026 start contingent on funding. Verify current enrollment with the Secretary of State before saying it is active. Redaction usually removes protected fields from an otherwise public record. It does not authorize a person to recover the hidden address through another request.
Lawful use. Use Perry resident records for legitimate personal research. Georgia law does not permit stalking, harassment, intimidation, or efforts to defeat address protection.
If a source is wrong, correct it with the keeper: assessor for a parcel, registrar for voter data, clerk for a docket, DPH for a vital record, or licensing board for a credential. Then recheck any copies that may have drawn from it.
